Grants
Apply for a Grant
The application process is designed to create collaboration between the grantee and the family grant sponsor. We feel this results in the most successful solutions and support for our organizations.
All grant applications are submitted online. Once submitted, the online application creates a working rough draft that can be reviewed collectively between the grantee and the grant sponsor.

Guidelines & Eligibility
TGFF guidelines are meant to assist potential grantees to determine what programs and services can be supported.

Getting Started
Mini Grant
Mini Grants are often used for a first-time grant as we are getting to know an organization, or to support an organization where this type of funding better fits in their financial picture. A Mini Grant application is for requests up to $5,000.
Regular Grant
Regular Grants are best fit for organizations that TGFF has built a relationship with and have previously been awarded a Mini Grant. A Regular Grant application is for requests greater than $5,000.
Grant Application Checklist
Be prepared to upload the following during the rough draft application process:
- Timeline for your project
- Project budget
- Your organization’s financials: operating budget and balance sheet for the two previous years
We are here to help! Please contact your grant sponsor if you have questions regarding the grant application process.
What Happens After Submitting the Rough Draft?
Review and collaboration: After you click ‘Submit’ on the online application, the collaborative review process with your TGFF grant sponsor begins. If you’re following the grant timeline, you’ll have about two weeks to make any necessary changes before the final deadline.
Final grant application submission is achieved after collaboration is complete. Steps for the final submission must be completed and can be found at the bottom of the grant application.
After the final grant deadline, our team of Grant Officers will begin to review each proposal and supporting material. If questions pertaining to the proposal arise, TGFF’s Grant Manager may reach out for clarification prior to the Grant Officer’s determination meeting.
Notification will be given after the Grant Officer’s determination meeting.
One year later, all organizations that were granted funds through a Mini, Regular, or Multi-Year Grant will be required to submit a Grant Report or Interim Report.
