2005 January at The Gibney Family Foundation

January 2005

  • Grant and donation payments will be disbursed approximately November 1st.   If a grant was awarded and an organization does not receive payment by November 15th, please contact TGFF immediately.
  • December 1st is the deadline for TGFF to receive written acknowledgment that grant and donation funds have been received and deposited.   This step is important to confirm that TGFF’s federal year-end grant distribution requirements have been met.
  • Organizations may submit a proposal at any time.  However, any proposals received after July 1st may be considered for the following calendar year grant cycle.
  • The Gibney Family Foundation grantees should understand that we encourage our grant sponsor, working with you, to become passionate about your organization’s mission.  Your stewardship and support of that sponsor’s passion is important.
  • Organizations are encouraged to partner with TGFF associates during the proposal development process in an effort to better understand the need, add value to the process, and facilitate effective grantmaking.
  • Conference calls, site visits, and other contacts will be included during the proposal development process prior to submitting a formal proposal.
  • Current grantees must submit a M.O.R.E. Report (Milestone, Outcomes and Report of Expenditures) prior to submitting or approval of a subsequent proposal.
  • Some proposal revisions may be required prior to a vote by the Board of Directors.
  • In most cases, final determination to award a grant will be contingent upon meeting the matching or challenge component of the proposal.
  • Organizations with approved proposals will receive a copy a Grant Contract with the acceptance letter. When contract is returned to TGFF, an authorized signature reflecting that funds will be granted will be mailed back to you.
  • TGFF associates cannot individually bind The Gibney Family Foundation to any action, agreement, donation, or grant.  The only commitments to be honored by TGFF will be in the form of Grant Contracts or donations resulting from the Board of Directors collective deliberation and vote to support the requests received.
